I've been dealing with back problems for the past 5 years, leading to back surgery 2 years ago (that hadn't fixed the pain). I had been trying everything to find a solution to the pain - osteopaths, acupuncture, physiotherapy, massage - but none of these therapies were working for me.

A friend suggested I try reformer Pilates. Since taking classes at Tropic State I'm finally starting to recover! There's less pain than I've felt in about 3 years, I'm feeling stronger, and I've got trust in my body and movements.

Tarryn, thank you. I reckon it was your understanding of my injury and the positive pressure that has finally gotten me to a place where I feel there may be an end to my back issues.

Luca was born after 12 hours of labour, achieving a very positive and powerful VBAC. Although I required some intervention in the end with forceps and episiotomy both my OB and Physio are confident I will have a quick and positive recovery due to my pelvic floor strength and work during pregnancy.

I can’t wait to come back to classes in a few months and start nurturing my body again with movement.
